How do people get retina detachments or retina torn? is it from a hit or can they get it for no reason?

All people are different, and detached retina's can be caused by many things. It usually happens as people get older. My father got one from sneezing hard, but he was in his late 70's when it happened. You should have frequent eye exams to maintain eye health.
