How to give a good first impression?

I'm going to highschool today (heath class during summer) and it will be my first time there. I really want to make some friends and give a good first impression. The problem is I don't quite feel confident enough to start a conversation with someone because I'm afraid they'll judge me! I'm also afraid I won't have anyone to sit with at lunch! Advice please?
