Can a person born blind in one eye have surgery to cure blindness?

Yes, it may be possible for someone who was born blind because of retinal detachment to regain their sight. Laser surgery may be an option. I would recommend seeing a family doctor (if you have one) because they can refer you to a specialist. An eye doctor may also be a good idea. If he was born with it, it may be retinopathy of prematurity. If so, the disease is divided into stages and depending on the stage, the treatment (if possible) would vary.
