The way we look at the world, is it all mapped upside on our retina, how bout the v1?
whenever we look at something the light strikes our eye then it strikes the obkect in front of us and comes back to our eye and forms an image on retina with the help of choroid plexus( a brownish lining helps to absorb light). This image that we see is a real image that means its inverted, this same image is detected by recepters rods and cones and goes to the association are of the occipital lobe and the brains takes it as a virtual image, that means the brain corrects the image and makes it erect or the opposite of inverted.
