Why is my iPod touch screen acting odd?

I was playing 'Retina Wallpaper' and then all of a sudden my screen changed the opposite color of what it should. For example, a color that was normally black turned white, or one that should be green was pink. What should I do!?! I tried calling Apple but it was no help whatsoever. If someone could help that would be great.
