Plastic glasses frames vs metal frames?

Hey all so what are the advantages/disadvantages between plastic and metal glasses frames? Btw I have very high prescription so my lenses are still thick and I wear my glasses all the time also I play sports and weight train. Please no smart @ss answers thanks:)
