Desperate to conceive... What happens when semen is injected into cervix?

i've heard someone mentioning that, to increase the chance of conceiving, (if not possible thru normal intercourse) to inject the semen (using syringe or filler) so that the opening of cervix comes into direct contact of semen. Now if i take a step ahead and inject the semen directly thru the opening of the cervix into the uterus, will it still increase the chance of conceiving or will it pose any heath hazard? Pls give suggestions.
